Firm History

Founding and Philosophy

EPLG was originally founded in April 2003 by Carolyn Elmore in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Ms. Elmore is the sole owner of EPLG - the firm began as, and still is, a 100% woman-owned business. Her intention was to offer the same capabilities and services as the much larger Boston-area firms, but without the obstructive and inefficient management bureaucracy typical of such firms. EPLG operates in a largely flat structure, meaning that communication within the firm is unrestricted, promoting teamwork and better cross-client capabilities and efficiencies.

Selective Growth

The original four employees initially began working in the downstairs rooms of Ms. Elmore's own antique victorian house. EPLG's client base developed rapidly and the firm doubled in size in short order. A carriage house on the property was converted for use and served as the firm's office for the next three years. After another growth spurt, the firm relocated to Westford, Massachusetts in 2008 where it remains. The firm headcount currently sits at fourteen.
